Welcome to
Stanley
Metnodist Circuit
We are a network of churches in the Stanley area, who believe that the
good news of Jesus is relevant to our lives today.
We are a community of Christians, who meet for worship and fellowship in
a number of chapels and homes across the area, and who seek to serve
Jesus and our local communities in our daily lives.
You will find quite a variety of types of worship and events listed
among the pages of this website.
This ranges from the innovative events of the Ruth Project in South
Stanley, events and groups for children and families, as well as
different styles of worship, sometimes contemporary, family friendly or
traditional.
We can’t offer everything in each location we serve, but across the
circuit as a whole we hope there is something for everyone.
To find out what is
happening at any of the churches, simply click on the
churches button, then on the photograph of the church you are interested in. For general circuit information, click on
the circuit logo.
As part of the Newcastle District of the Methodist Church of Great
Britain, we share the calling of the Methodist Church which is:
To respond to the Gospel of God's love in Christ and to live out its
discipleship in worship and mission.
Inspired by Our Calling, we aim:
- to increase awareness of God's presence and to
celebrate God's love
- to help people to grow and learn as Christians through mutual support
and care
- to be a good neighbour to people in need and to challenge injustice
- to make more followers of Jesus Christ
You will find a warm welcome at any of our churches, services, groups
and events.
Please do get in touch if you would like more details. If you are new to
the area, or are moving soon, why not send us an email so we can send
you any information you need
