BURNHOPE

METHODIST CHURCH

We are here to celebrate the love that God shows for all people in Jesus, a love that all people are invited to experience and share.

Burnhope Methodist Church is part of a group of 10 churches which make up the Stanley Circuit, and share 2 ministers between them. There are a variety of Circuit activities which bring people together from the different churches and to which all are welcome:

Being part of the Circuit is also something that enhances our worship, since services are conducted by a variety of different preachers. Sometimes one of the ministers, and most often one of the Circuit Local Preachers (Lay men and women who have trained as preachers in the Methodist Church).

Weddings and Blessings are held in the church, as well as Baptisms, and services of Thanksgiving & Blessing after the birth or adoption of a child.

The members of the church are involved in various other activities within the village, and we believe that we are here for the whole village, and involved with its concerns.

Please feel free to pop in and join us – our building is the chapel behind the village War Memorial.

If you wish to find out more, please either contact Rev Gavin Hume or the Circuit Office

Our worship services usually take place:

At 10.30am on the first Sunday of the month only

At 5.30pm on all other Sundays

(This pattern changes for November, when the 10.45am Remembrance Sunday Service is the only morning service in the month, and for Mothering Sunday, on which day a 10.30am service is held as the one morning service for that month)

Our minister is Revd Gavin Hume who can be contacted on 520604, or via email: gavin.hume@methodist.org.uk
